Las Vegas, NV (March 2012) - "MATS" continues to evolve, becoming one of the best deals around for fans of burning rubber and squealing tires. After yet another outstanding turnout at the 2011 MATS show, Hotchkis Sport Suspension returns to Las Vegas to host the autocross event at the 2012 show.

The Muscle Car Autocross Challenge will give enthusiasts a chance to compete on a timed autocross course without leaving the car show parking lot. Autocross, which allows individual drivers to complete short timed laps on a short course, has experienced a huge boom in popularity with the growth of the pro-touring movement. At the 2012 "MATS" in Las Vegas April 13 through 15th , participants and spectators will be able to compete for trophies, bragging rights and glory.

At the previous MATS Autocross events Vipers, new Challengers, classic Mopar muscle and sport compact cars and even a few drag racers carved up the cones while 11-time national autocross champion Mary Pozzi and four other Hotchkis "H-Team" members gave nearly 500 rides around the course. This year the plan is make the course bigger, faster, and even more fun. Hotchkis specializes in updating classic and modern muscle cars for improved performance and reliability, and the Hotchkis team is eager to share the fun with enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Exhibition cars will include the Hotchkis 1970 "E-Max" Challenger, the hill-climbing DTM Racing B-Max road runner, the Redline Gaugeworks 1969 Valiant, the Hotchkis muscle cars from Top Gear and several other "H-Team" pro-touring muscle cars. Skilled drivers Aaron Ogawa, John Hotchkis, Dan Weishaar and 11-time national autocross champion Mary Pozzi will be on-hand to offer demo rides and instruction.
