Leave Glendora Dodge at 12:30 pm and make your way to Interstate 15 stopping for fuel at the Flying J in Barstow; scheduled fuel stop is planned for 3:00 pm allowing 45 minutes at the Flying J.

Leave Barstow at 3:45 pm headed to Las Vegas. Arrive at the Cannery prior to 7 pm.

12th Annual Cruise to MATS

Goodyear, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada

Cruise Kickoff at Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q  – 845 N. Litchfield Road / Goodyear, AZ – 8:30am-10:30am

To get Rudy’s take I-10 to exit 128 and head south on Litchfield Road. Once heading south, Rudy’s is the first building you will see on your left side south of I-10.

If you want to get gas before the event, there is a Circle K south of Rudy’s at 315 N. Litchfield Road (left side of street).

After leaving Rudy’s head north on Litchfield Road back to the I-10 Highway and make a left to head west. Stay on the I-10 Highway for 4 miles and exit at 124 to head north on the 303 Freeway.  Head north on the 303 Freeway for 15 miles to Route 60 (this will be the exit after Bell Road). Turn west onto Route 60 for 31 miles to Wickenburg. In Wickenburg, we will stop for fuel at the SECOND Shell station in town on the right side of the street. This is our first fuel stop.

Continue west on Route 60 for about 1 mile, cross over the bridge and look for signs for Route 93 Bypass.  Stay in the far right lane as you go past a roundabout and merge to Route 93 and head north for 110 miles.  Route 93 then merges with I-40. Take I-40 west, and exit at 66 to Blake Ranch Road for fuel at the Petro truck stop.  This is our second fuel stop.

Then return to I-40 and head west to exit 53 at Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman.  Turn right on Andy Devine to head west for .75 mile and turn into the Martin Swanty dealership on the left side.so-cal-cruise

Turn left out of Martin Swanty to Andy Devine Avenue and continue thru town (this is the old Route 66).  Turn left onto Beale Street and head under I-40 continuing north on Route 93. Continue for 90 miles and over the new bridge at Hoover Dam, and on into Las Vegas.

Those going to the Cannery Casino Hotel, continue to take Route 93 as it merges with Route 95 and then merges again with I-515.  Exit the 93/95/I-515 at 76B to head north on I-15 towards Salt Lake City.  Exit I-15 at 48 to Craig Road.  Head west to the Cannery located at 2121 E. Craig Road.

2016 MoPower Cruise to Muscle Cars at the Strip

From Interstate 40: The Mopar Muscle Club of NM will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Flying J (9911 Avalon Rd. NW) which is the last Albuquerque exit on I-40 headed west. Make sure to bring your cameras as we always have lots of fun on the road.

We will leave the Flying J and proceed west on I-40 to the Flying J at Winslow, Arizona where we can stop for snacks and to refuel (if needed). We’ll leave at 11:15 pm and proceed west again to exit 53 at Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman, AZ.  Turn right on Andy Devine to head west for .75 mile and turn into the Martin Swanty Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership on the left side (2640 E. Andy Devine Avenue/Kingman, AZ) where we’ll meet up (around 2:15 p.m.) with other clubs, cruisers, and fellow Mopar & Muscle Car enthusiasts for lunch at the dealership from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  We can also refuel, grab a snack, and join their cruise on to Vegas.

On March 17, 2016 Muscle Car ENTHUSIASTS in conjunction with PINE COUNTRY Truck and Trailer Sales will host a meet and greet. Starting at 5:00 pm at Pine Country we will have a meet and greet with all that would like to cruise to Vegas the next day. We will have eats and drinks. We will be going over the next day’s timing and stopping points starting at GRAND JUNCTION CHRYSLER with everyone that attends. This will be a good time to meet everyone and start our friendships for our adventure to Mopars & Muscle Cars at the Strip.

We will be meeting at 7:00am at GRAND JUNCTION CHRYSLER to gather and depart for our cruise on March 17, 2016. We will be heading for our first stopping point in Utah from here.

If you are coming from Denver area on I-70 you will take (exit 28) and go south on 24 road about 1 ½ miles and you will see to your right large Holiday Inn Express on your left will be a large Mesa Mall, go on top of viaduct and turn and go east. You will now be on 6&50, you will go about 1
1/2 miles, get in left lane and on your left (4 stop lights down) Pine Country has about 1/8 mile of frontage to 6&50, meet and greet.

If going to Chrysler drive as before and continue east thru next stop light stay left and you will turn on North Ave. after you go under viaduct turn left, go across two lanes and turn on to little street go about 1/8th mile west and Chrysler will be on your right.

Salt Lake City, Utah

2016 Cruise from points north, the Paul Wilson Memorial Run

paul_wilson_runThe Kick-off Party will be Wednesday March 17, 2016, at Salt Lake Valley Chrysler, 2309 South State Street, Salt Lake City, from 4-8pm, There will be food, cars and people, a great way to start the cruise!

“Tour of small town Utah” starts up the next morning, meeting at One Man Band Diner, 1220 East Main in Lehi, at 7am for those that want a good breakfast. We hit the road at 8:15, heading to Pioneer Crossing, and Redwood Road, which takes us to the west side of Utah Lake, and the towns of Elberta and Goshen. Then Goshen Canyon (which is not very trailer friendly, best if you are DRIVING your Mopar!).

That takes us through Mona, and into Nephi, where we will Stop at Painter Motors, a long term supporter of MATS, and our cruise. The address is 1100 North Main, we will 9:30 am. We hit the road again by 10:15, heading down Main Street, we stay on Main, passing under I-15, towards Levan.  That will take us to Gunnison, then Salina, a little stretch of I-70, and a quick stop for fuel in Richfield, then on to Highway 89, towards Panguitch, where we will have a lunch stop. For those that do not want to go through Zions, after lunch they can take highway 20 over to I-15.

The next towns are Hatch, Glendale, and Mount Carmel. We will see if the mannequin is still in the cop car! At Mount Carmel Juntion we enter Zion National Park, remember there is a fee to get in the park. The sight of all the Mopars going through all the unique sights at Zion National Park is breathtaking!

We will make a quick fuel stop where the road joins I-15, and try and stay together through the Virgin River Gorge, a beautiful drive! Depending on time, there will be a dinner stop in Mesquite, next stop is Vegas!

Remember, it will be Saint Patrick’s Day, if your Mopar isn’t green, you better be wearing it!

Thursday night at the Cannery is the seafood Buffet; all cruise participants meet from 6-8pm, and share our cruise stories and pictures at the Buffet area at the Cannery.  The Cannery is located at 2121 E. Craig Road, take the Craig Road exit, proceed west to the intersection of Craig and Losee, you are there.
